The Trip

This book keeps getting better and better! Edie was in photography class when she was told the news of her life. Martyn, her teacher told the whole class that they get to go to Paris. Edie was so excited to go, but first she had to convince her parents first. Her parents thought she was too young to go and it would be her first time on a plane. Overall I think her parents were just cautious and nervous because Edie is their only child. A week before Martyn announced the class's big trip, Josh asked out Edie and she said yes! Josh pretty much came out of nowhere, and to make matters worse Edie is in love with Dylan. This book is nothing but a huge love triangle. Josh loves Edie. Edie loves Dylan. Dylan loves Mia. Mia loves Paul and so does Shona. It's so confusing. Right now they just got to Paris in the book and it seems as if everything is settling down for Edie until they get to their hotel room. When Edie and Shona open the door, Mia is in there kissing Paul just to make Shona jealous! God Mia is such a rude, selfish girl. That added with some rude comments between them 3 caused a huge cat fight. Which ended up getting Edie in trouble and she got grounded to her room. By the end of the night she was starving, so when Shona called the room to see if she wanted something from McDonalds she said yes. The thing Edie didn't know was that Dylan made Shona call and Dylan paid for all of it. By the time Shona got back Edie was sleeping, so she woke up pretty grumpy. Then to make matters worse Dylan was there and she cursed at him to get out. In the morning Shona told her about the night before and Edie apologized to Dylan . Dylan of course accepted the apology because I think he is really in love with her. This was all only 2 days in Paris, which is crazy. I can't wait to read more!

I can't put this book down.

This book is like my own diary! I cannot get enough of it. I almost jumped out of my seat when Dylan made a move on Edie and kissed her, and it wasn't even a peck kiss! After Dylan did that Edie was so confused and didn't know what to do. Was Dylan just being nice or did he really have feelings for her? Poor Edie, that entire kiss just made things awkward between them. When Edie would be in the canteen before lunch she would she Dylan all over this girl named Shona. Shona was pretty much Edie's long lost twin, which is quite weird. A few days of seeing them two all over each other, Edie finally got the guts to ask Dylan who Shona was one day in Photography class. To her relief Shona is just a really good friend, almost like his sister. They grew up together ever since Kindergarten. After Dylan explained the whole Shona situation, they decided on where they were going to do their photography project. On that same Saturday they decided to go to this old place where the buildings were older and beginning to crumble. While they were snapping some good pictures Edie decided to take some non-related pictures, of Dylan and herself. On the last picture she took of Dylan, she got caught. He then grabbed her chin and kissed her again for the second time! After they were done kissing, Dylan basically bolted off and was just acting super weird. Almost like the kiss was a mistake or accident. This made Edie feel terrible. The car ride home was very weird for her, she said he seemed almost mad about it. Neither one of them talked the whole ride home. What did I do wrong, Edie asked herself. Dylan as a character just makes me angry. I know there are guys like this at my school and it's wrong of them to give us girls mixed feelings like that. If I was Edie I would sit him down and ask him what was going on between them.

The First Few chapters

The Diary of a Crush French Kiss is such a relatable book which makes me love it even more. The  main character, Edie Wheeler is a sixteen year old girl who is head over heels in love with Dylan. Edie is just starting off at a college doing A levels, so pretty much everyone including Dylan is older than her. She is the new girl at her college, so in order to fit in she joined the photography class. On the first day of class she walks in late, and the only place to sit is by the gorgeous Dylan. Comes to find out that by Edie sitting next to Dylan that they would become partners for the class all year long! Every teenage girl can give you a description of their crush in their own school, and Dylan's description would fall under some of those girl's descriptions. Edie's detailed description of Dylan makes you feel like you can even smell him! The character of Edie is so relatable because she is just a awkward girl growing up trying to figure out how to grow up. Edie is her own person and is not afraid to be herself, which is nice. The thing is, is that she is less experienced in the kissing area of things, matter of fact the whole boy thing. Edie has a retro style to her, she is a tall, blonde hair, and blue eyed girl. The way she writes to her diary is pretty funny. Edie writes to it as if it's a person. She uses a lot of metaphors and similes when she writes about her experiences and certain people.
